For all you beginners like me, I wrote down the basics. Watch the video carefully because there are simple but important details on how to make an envelope pillow cover. I hope this help and save you time. Scroll to the bottom for instruction video! Have fun!
1. Measure your pillow
2. If your pillow is 16×16″ then add 1″ to each side – 17X17″ for the front of the pillow
3. For the back of the pillow you are going to have 17×17″ as the front, but add extra 5″ more to create the overlapping opening – 22X22″for the back of the pillow
4. Find the center of the 22×22″ back piece and cut it right down the middle
5. Time to sew : Make sure your front and back pieces are facing each other and the hemmed back piece ends, face each other in the middle. The back hemmed ends will overlap
6. Stitch all around the pillow about 1/2″ from the outer border
