Also, get three towels for the luxury bath and keep these towels for doggy baths only.
Buy some steel wool. Put the wool in the tub drain to stop dog hair from clogging the drain. A quick brushing gets out the matting and knots and lets the shampoo go in deeply.
Now put one of the towels in the tub. Next, use a leash if needed and don’t be above using bribes (treats) to get Fido into the tub. The towel will keep your pet from slipping.
Gently start the warm water and fill up a small bucket. Add some soap and gently pour the wash on your pet starting near the neck so Fido can get used to the water. Work your way down.
Frequently drape the second towel over your dog’s back and let him shake
because he will one way or another. After rinsing use the third towel for drying. Don’t let your pet outside until his is completely dry. Expect him to rub himself on the rug or carpet. If he gets outside he will go straight to the dirt and need another bath.
